Pujara Supports Padikkal for No. 3 Spot, Advocates for Sudharsan's Inclusion

Cheteshwar Pujara has voiced his support for Devdutt Padikkal to bat at No. 3 for India during the ongoing Test series against Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo. Pujara, reflecting on his own experiences at the venue, noted Padikkal's impressive performance in the first Test and his readiness for this opportunity.

Pujara acknowledged Padikkal's recent form in domestic cricket and the IPL, suggesting that he should be given time to establish himself in the role. However, he also stressed that Sai Sudharsan should not be overlooked in India's Test plans, indicating that while Sudharsan may not bat at No. 3, his inclusion in the squad is essential.
