Quillan Salkilld Targets Benoit Saint-Denis for November Fight at MSG
Quillan Salkilld has expressed his desire to fight Benoit Saint-Denis at Madison Square Garden in November. The Australian lightweight made this statement after achieving a first-round stoppage against Mateusz Gamrot at UFC Vegas 120.
After his victory, Salkilld indicated a preference for facing Saint-Denis over the loser of the upcoming Arman Tsarukyan vs. Mauricio Ruffy match. He noted that Saint-Denis, who recently suffered a quick knockout loss to Paddy Pimblett, is likely ready to return to the octagon without significant damage.
Salkilld, now holding a 6-0 record in the UFC with five first-round finishes, aims to break into the top five of the lightweight rankings. Saint-Denis currently ranks sixth, and while the UFC has yet to confirm any lightweight bouts for the November event, Salkilld is eager for a matchup that could elevate his standing in the division.
