Quinn Hughes Achieves 500th NHL Point in Canucks Loss to Wild
Quinn Hughes reached the milestone of 500 points in his NHL career during a game where the Minnesota Wild defeated the Vancouver Canucks 4-2 on Sunday in Vancouver.
Despite facing boos from the crowd, Hughes received a partial standing ovation during a video tribute in the first period. The Wild, who recently won against the Kraken, saw contributions from Hughes, Kirill Kaprizov, and Maxim Shabanov, each recording a goal and an assist. Bobby Brink also scored his first goal of the season, while Calvin Pickard made 16 saves for Minnesota.
The Canucks, struggling with their tenth consecutive loss, managed goals from Max Sasson and Brock Boeser in the third period. Vancouver's Leevi Merilainen stopped 30 shots, but the team continued to face challenges, particularly on the penalty kill, which allowed two goals during the game.
