Racing Bulls F1 Team Encourages Drivers to Learn from Max Verstappen
Alan Permane, the principal of Racing Bulls Formula 1 team, has urged drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad to pay attention to Max Verstappen's communication on team radio. This advice comes as both drivers enter the 2026 season with limited experience, having a combined total of 35 grand prix starts.
Permane highlighted Verstappen as a model for young drivers, noting his calm demeanor and effective feedback during races. He emphasized that Verstappen serves as a benchmark for both performance and conduct, which can be beneficial for Lawson and Lindblad as they develop their skills.
Despite being a sister team to Red Bull, Racing Bulls utilizes the same data resources available to all teams. Lawson acknowledged the importance of learning from other drivers, including Verstappen, even after his brief time as a teammate. Currently, Lawson and Lindblad are closely matched in performance, with Permane noting the need for management as they compete closely throughout the season.
