Rafael dos Anjos Returns to UFC After Two-Year Hiatus
Rafael dos Anjos, a former UFC lightweight champion, is making his return to the octagon at UFC 332 in Salt Lake City on October 3, after being sidelined for two years due to a knee injury.
The injury, sustained during a fight against Geoff Neal in 2024, required multiple surgeries. Prior to his injury, Dos Anjos faced a loss to Mateusz Gamrot at UFC 299 and had announced his retirement from competing at 155 pounds.
Despite calls from fans for him to retire, the 41-year-old has opted to return to lightweight, aiming to enhance his legacy in mixed martial arts. He will face Alexander Hernandez, who has been competing in the UFC since 2018 and is coming off a loss to Rafa Garcia.
