Raiders Coach Klint Kubiak Remains Silent on RB Ashton Jeanty's Injury Status
Las Vegas Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak addressed the media on Tuesday, offering little information about the status of running back Ashton Jeanty, who sustained a right ankle sprain during practice.
Jeanty was unable to put weight on his leg as he left the field with trainers, raising concerns about the severity of the injury, although it is not expected to end his season. Kubiak refrained from discussing specifics, including whether Jeanty might start the season on injured reserve, stating only that Jeanty is recovering.
The Raiders are set to face the Miami Dolphins in their season opener on September 13. If Jeanty were to be placed on injured reserve, he would miss at least four games. Meanwhile, rookie running back Mike Washington Jr. has shown promise, rushing for 119 yards in two preseason games, potentially easing the burden if Jeanty is unavailable.
