Raiders Discipline Kirk Cousins and Maxx Crosby After Training Camp Altercation

The Las Vegas Raiders have taken disciplinary action against quarterback Kirk Cousins and defensive end Maxx Crosby after a scuffle during training camp practice on Friday. Both players were benched during team periods on Saturday as a consequence of their actions.

The altercation arose after Cousins threw two red-zone interceptions, one to Jeremy Chinn and another to rookie cornerback Hezekiah Massis. Crosby reportedly struck Cousins' arm during one of the interceptions, which led to the confrontation. Head coach Klint Kubiak emphasized the team's expectations for practice conduct and noted that such behavior would not be tolerated.

Despite the incident, backup quarterback Fernando Mendoza received valuable practice time with the first team, performing well during the session. Kubiak's decision to discipline key players like Cousins and Crosby reinforces the standards set for the team.
