Raiders Focus on Ashton Jeanty's Recovery Ahead of Week 1
The Raiders have completed their preseason games, shifting their focus to running back Ashton Jeanty's recovery as they prepare for Week 1.
Jeanty sustained an ankle sprain last weekend, and the team has not disclosed details regarding the injury's severity or his expected return. Head coach Klint Kubiak confirmed during a Friday videoconference that the team is counting on Jeanty, a first-round pick in 2025, to be part of their plans.
Kubiak noted that Jeanty is still recovering and that the team has a week to evaluate his condition before the first game. Additionally, fourth-round pick Mike Washington performed well during training camp and is expected to have a role in the regular season, although the Raiders prefer him to serve in a supporting capacity.
