Raiders Provide Update on Ashton Jeanty's Ankle Injury
The Las Vegas Raiders have indicated that Ashton Jeanty's ankle injury is not serious enough to prevent him from playing in the first four games of the upcoming season.
In their announcement of the initial 53-man roster, the Raiders noted that Jeanty was not placed on injured reserve, suggesting they believe he will not miss more than a game. In contrast, tight end Carter Runyon was placed on IR but designated for return, while another player, Crawford, was ruled out for the season due to an injury sustained in the last preseason game.
Although Jeanty may still miss the season opener, he was seen walking at Allegiant Stadium with his ankle wrapped. The Raiders are set to face the Miami Dolphins in their first game, and if Jeanty needs to rest, rookie RB Mike Washington could step in. The team will need Jeanty available for their crucial AFC West matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers in the following week.
