Raiders RB Ashton Jeanty Suffers Sprained Ankle
Ashton Jeanty, running back for the Raiders, was assisted off the practice field on Sunday due to an injury to his right leg.
Reports indicate that Jeanty has been diagnosed with a sprained ankle, although it remains unclear whether it is a high- or low-ankle sprain. The Raiders are currently uncertain about the duration of his absence, but the injury is not deemed long-term.
Initially, the injury seemed serious, but the team has since gained some reassurance. Jeanty, who was the sixth overall pick in the 2025 draft, is expected to play a key role in the Raiders' offense for the 2026 season under new head coach Klint Kubiak. Last season, he accumulated 1,321 yards from scrimmage, including 975 rushing yards and 346 receiving yards on 55 catches, scoring a total of 10 touchdowns.
