Raiders Sign WR Noah Brown, Release DT Benito Jones
The Las Vegas Raiders announced the signing of wide receiver Noah Brown on Monday, marking his return to full health following a challenging 2025 season impacted by injuries.
Brown, who is 30 years old, played four games for the Commanders last year. He faced significant setbacks, including being carted off during minicamp, but managed to return for the season opener. A subsequent groin injury led to his placement on injured reserve in October, and although he was activated for two games in December, he was again sidelined, concluding his season early. Throughout his career, Brown has struggled with injuries, having played a full season only once.
Originally drafted by the Cowboys in 2017, Brown had a breakout year in 2022 with 43 catches for 555 yards. He then joined the Texans, where he achieved career-high averages in yards per catch and yards per target. In Las Vegas, he joins a receiving corps that lacks experience, with only one wide receiver, Tre Tucker, having surpassed 500 career receiving yards. In a related move, the Raiders released defensive tackle Benito Jones, who had joined the team this offseason after playing for the Dolphins, suggesting a shift in the team's defensive strategy.
