Raiders Trade Center Jordan Meredith to Jets
The Raiders have traded center Jordan Meredith to the Jets, as reported by Ian Rapoport of NFL Media. The deal, finalized on Sunday afternoon, involves the Jets sending a 2027 sixth-round pick in exchange for a 2029 seventh-round pick.
Meredith, who is 28 years old, started 11 of the 13 games he played last season but encountered challenges while transitioning to the center position. He also has experience as a right guard. He joined the Raiders in 2022 on a futures contract and has participated in 45 games with 20 starts over four seasons.
The Jets sought to bolster their interior offensive line depth, making Meredith a valuable addition. He is under contract through 2026 for $3.5 million and is set to become a free agent in 2027.
