Ramiz Raja Criticizes PCB for Overhaul Following England Tour Losses

Former Pakistan cricketer and PCB chairman Ramiz Raja has expressed his discontent with the Pakistan Cricket Board's recent decisions following the team's disappointing Test tour of England. The PCB implemented significant changes after Pakistan lost the first two Tests of the series, sending seven players home before the final match in Birmingham.

Among those dropped were Mohammad Rizwan, Imam-ul-Haq, and Salman Ali Agha, while seven new players were added to the squad. The coaching staff also saw changes, with head coach Sarfaraz Ahmed and assistant coach Umar Gul being released, and white-ball coach Mike Hesson taking over for the third Test.

Raja criticized the timing and extent of these changes, suggesting they could further undermine the players' confidence. He noted that such a large-scale overhaul during a tour is unprecedented in cricket and questioned the effectiveness of this approach. The PCB's decisions came amid controversies surrounding the Lord's Test, which included off-field disputes involving the family of former captain Imran Khan.
