Rams Coach Criticizes Field Goal Unit After Overtime Loss
The Los Angeles Rams suffered a 38-35 overtime loss on Monday night, bringing their record to 2-3. The defeat was partly due to missed field goals by kicker Harrison Mevis, including a blocked attempt in overtime that could have secured a victory.
Following the game, Rams head coach Sean McVay expressed disappointment with the field-goal unit, stating it was responsible for the loss. He indicated that he would be reviewing the team's performance moving forward.
Last season, McVay dismissed special-teams coordinator Chase Blackburn after a similar situation. With the next game scheduled against the Cardinals, the Rams have opportunities to improve their record, but their current standing is not what was expected after five weeks of play.
