Rams Sign Veteran Kicker Brandon McManus
The Los Angeles Rams have signed veteran kicker Brandon McManus, according to multiple reports.
McManus, who is 35 years old, played for the Green Bay Packers last season, successfully converting 24 of 30 field goals and 32 of 33 extra points in 14 regular-season games. However, he struggled in the playoffs, missing two field goals and an extra point in a loss to Chicago, prompting the Packers to part ways with him.
McManus is a Super Bowl champion, having achieved this with the Denver Broncos at the end of the 2015 season, where he made all 10 field goals and three extra points during the playoffs. In his career, he has played 186 regular-season games, achieving an 82.0 percent success rate on field goals and 97.4 percent on extra points. The Rams recently placed kicker Blake Grupe on injured reserve due to a torn ACL and had released Harrison Mevis after a challenging start to the season. The Rams are set to play against the Raiders in Week 7.
