Rangers Add Jonah Bride and Place Jack Leiter on 60-Day IL
The Texas Rangers have announced the promotion of infielder Jonah Bride from Triple-A Round Rock, while also placing right-handed pitcher Jack Leiter on the 60-day injured list.
To accommodate Bride on the 26-man roster, outfielder Alejandro Osuna was optioned to Round Rock. Bride, who was drafted by the Athletics in 2018, has played in the majors from 2022 to 2025, accumulating 214 games and 690 plate appearances with a batting line of .276/.357/.461 in 2024.
After a challenging stint with the Twins, where he struggled significantly, Bride signed a minor league deal with the Rangers during the offseason. He has performed well in Triple-A, boasting a .282/.401/.425 batting average with 10 home runs and nine steals prior to his selection.
