Rangers Defeat Celtic 3-0 in Scottish League Cup Quarter-Final
Rangers triumphed over Celtic with a decisive 3-0 victory in the Scottish League Cup quarter-finals held at Ibrox Stadium. This win marked Derek McInnes's first Old Firm victory as the manager of Rangers.
Captain Dan Neil scored twice, while Kevin Kelsy, making his debut in the derby, also found the net. Neil opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, followed by Kelsy's goal early in the second half. Neil capped off the match with his second goal 15 minutes before the final whistle.
Celtic struggled to create scoring opportunities throughout the match, unable to cope with Rangers' aggressive pressing strategy. With this win, Rangers advance to face Aberdeen in the semi-finals scheduled for the weekend of October 31/November 1.
