Rangers Draw Inspiration from Knicks' Championship Celebration
On Tuesday, seven players from the New York Rangers attended the Knicks' championship ring ceremony at Madison Square Garden, where the Knicks celebrated their first title since 1973.
Among those present were Vladislav Gavrikov, Sean Durzi, Alexis Lafrenière, Will Cuylle, Noah Laba, Gabe Perreault, and Eeli Tolvanen, who were featured on the video board and wore commemorative shirts. Rangers head coach Mike Sullivan noted that witnessing such success can be motivating for his team, especially given their shared training facilities with the Knicks.
Gavrikov expressed excitement about the Knicks' achievements, recalling the emotional highlights of their playoff run. The Knicks received 22-carat rings and raised a championship banner, while the Rangers continue to work on improving their power-play performance as they prepare for their upcoming game in Toronto.
