Raptors Exercise Options on Murray-Boyles and Walter for 2027/28
The Toronto Raptors have officially activated their rookie scale team options for Collin Murray-Boyles and Ja'Kobe Walter for the 2027/28 season, as announced by the team.
Murray-Boyles' third-year option is valued at $6.97 million, while Walter's fourth-year option is set at $5.87 million. The Raptors have until November 1, 2027, to decide on Murray-Boyles' fourth-year option for the 2028/29 season, which is worth $8.87 million. Walter will be eligible for a rookie scale extension next July as he approaches the final year of his rookie contract.
Both players are anticipated to play significant roles in the Raptors' lineup for the upcoming season. Murray-Boyles, selected ninth overall in the 2025 draft, averaged 8.5 points and 5.0 rebounds in his rookie season, earning a spot on the All-Rookie second team. Walter, drafted 19th overall in 2024, has been a consistent contributor, improving his shooting percentages last season.
