Rashid Khan Achieves Historic 200 T20I Wickets Milestone
Rashid Khan, the former captain of Afghanistan, made history by becoming the first men's player to take 200 wickets in Twenty20 Internationals during a match against Zimbabwe in Sharjah on Thursday.
The milestone was reached in his 120th T20I, where he dismissed Tadiwanashe Marumani lbw for two runs in the ninth over. Rashid, aged 28, has an impressive bowling average of 13.96 and an economy rate of 6.13, including two five-wicket hauls with best figures of 5-3.
With this achievement, Rashid leads the list of all-time wicket-takers in men's T20 internationals, holding a 39-wicket advantage over England's Adil Rashid, who is in second place. Additionally, Rashid Khan became the first Afghan bowler to reach 200 ODI wickets in October of the previous year.
