Rashod Bateman Faces Family Violence Charges Following Arrest
Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman was arrested in June and is facing three charges, including family violence, following an incident where he allegedly broke the windshield of a car containing his 3-month-old daughter and her mother.
The arrest warrant details that Bateman damaged the windshield and driver’s side door of a 2021 Mercedes-Benz on June 3, resulting in injuries to the mother from shattered glass. The warrant also noted that broken glass was found in the child's hair, and Bateman reportedly attempted to puncture one of the car's tires.
Bateman, 26, has been charged with battery-family violence, reckless conduct, and first-degree criminal damage to property. He was released on an $8,000 bond and is under a modified no violent contact order with the alleged victim. The Ravens organization is aware of the situation and is cooperating with the league, which is reviewing the matter for potential disciplinary action under its personal-conduct policy.
