Raul Fernandez Secures First MotoGP Pole at Indonesian Grand Prix
Raul Fernandez earned his first pole position in MotoGP during the Indonesian Grand Prix held on Saturday. He clocked a time of 1m28.562s, narrowly beating Marco Bezzecchi of Aprilia by a tenth of a second.
Fabio di Giannantonio from VR46 secured third place on the grid, while reigning champion Marc Marquez qualified fourth, placing him ahead of championship leader Jorge Martin, who finished fifth. Bezzecchi initially set the pace in Q1 with a time of 1m28.961s before Fernandez took the lead in the final runs.
Despite a crash by Fermin Aldeguer that caused yellow flags, Fernandez maintained his top position. Marquez tactically followed Martin during the session, ultimately qualifying just ahead of him. Aldeguer managed to hold sixth place despite his crash, while Trackhouse's Ai Ogura, who had a challenging weekend, finished seventh.
