Ravens Add Kicker Jake Moody to Practice Squad
The Baltimore Ravens have re-signed kicker Jake Moody to their practice squad following a recent game where Tyler Loop missed a critical 49-yard field goal in the fourth quarter. At that moment, the Ravens were leading 10-3 but ultimately lost the game 13-10.
Coach Jesse Minter expressed his frustration with Loop's performance, emphasizing the importance of making second-half kicks. Loop has successfully converted 10 of 13 field-goal attempts this season, but all three of his misses have occurred from 40-49 yards. In contrast, he made a notable 56-yard field goal to win a game against the Cowboys in Week 3.
Moody was initially signed by the Ravens after Loop struggled in the preseason but was released on September 15 after Loop's improved performance against the Colts. The team is now looking to enhance competition at the kicker position.
