Ravens Cornerback Nate Wiggins Carted Off Practice Field with Leg Injury

Baltimore Ravens cornerback Nate Wiggins was carted off the practice field on Tuesday after suffering a left leg injury. The incident occurred in the end zone while he was covering rookie wide receiver Ja’Kobi Lane during a one-on-one drill.

Following the practice, Ravens coach Jesse Minter stated that Wiggins, a first-round pick in 2024, was undergoing tests to determine the injury's severity. While Minter expressed optimism about the situation, he could not confirm whether the injury would be long-term.

The potential loss of Wiggins would be a significant setback for the Ravens, as he is considered their top cover cornerback. Minter noted the team's depth at the position, which includes veterans Marlon Humphrey and Chidobe Awuzie, along with younger players T.J. Tampa, Keyon Martin, and Chandler Rivers. The Ravens are scheduled to play their first preseason game on Saturday against the Philadelphia Eagles.
