Ravens Rookie Guard Vega Ioane Diagnosed with MCL Sprain
Vega Ioane, a rookie guard for the Baltimore Ravens, left the game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday due to a knee injury. Reports indicate that he has been diagnosed with an MCL sprain and will likely be sidelined for a period of time.
Ioane began the season playing at right guard but shifted to center following injuries to teammates Jovaughn Gwyn and Ethan Pocic. After the Ravens acquired Cam Jurgens, Ioane returned to the right guard position before sustaining his injury.
With Ioane out, Emory Jones stepped in during the game against the Bengals, as Andrew Vorhees was inactive. The Ravens may need to rely on Jones or another player as they prepare to face the Buffalo Bills in Week 8.
