Ravens Rule Out Teddye Buchanan for Season Opener
The Baltimore Ravens have announced that linebacker Teddye Buchanan and defensive tackle Nnamdi Madubuike will not play in their season opener against the Indianapolis Colts.
Buchanan has been limited in practice following a serious knee injury that included a torn ACL and meniscus, as well as a sprained LCL, which he sustained in December. He returned to practice on August 17. Madubuike's absence was previously noted in an injury update from coach Jesse Minter.
Trenton Simpson is set to start in place of Buchanan, while the Ravens may promote Carl Jones Jr. from the practice squad due to having only three healthy linebackers on their roster. Additionally, wide receiver Devontez Walker is listed as questionable, while Zay Flowers has returned to full practice without any injury designation.
