Ravindra Jadeja Becomes First Indian to Play 50 World Test Championship Matches
Ravindra Jadeja achieved a significant milestone on Sunday by becoming the first Indian cricketer to play in 50 World Test Championship matches. This historic event took place during the second Test match against Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Sports Club in Colombo.
The 37-year-old all-rounder from Jamnagar, Gujarat, reached this landmark as India faced Sri Lanka, having already secured a 1-0 lead in the two-match series after a victory by 165 runs in Galle. In this match, India made one change to their lineup, with Saransh Jain making his debut, replacing Kuldeep Yadav due to an infection.
India won the toss and opted to bat first in the match. Jadeja's achievement adds to his impressive record, which includes 2,632 runs and 516 wickets in Test cricket.
