Rays and Brewers Face Off in World Series Game 1

The Tampa Bay Rays are competing against the Milwaukee Brewers in Game 1 of the World Series, both teams aiming for their first championship title. Rays manager Kevin Cash has chosen Nick Martinez as the starting pitcher, while the Brewers will start Jacob Misiorowski, a likely Cy Young winner.

Martinez, who has had an extra day of rest, replaces Drew Rasmussen, who has been effective in the postseason. This decision comes after Rasmussen pitched in the ALCS on October 18. Martinez, an All-Star this season, previously demonstrated his capabilities with a strong performance against Cleveland.

The matchup also includes a quiz challenge, inviting fans to name the starting pitchers from every World Series Game 1 since 1996 within eight minutes.
