Rays and Guardians Reveal ALCS Rosters Ahead of Championship Series

The Tampa Bay Rays and Cleveland Guardians have disclosed their rosters for the American League Championship Series, which is set to begin tonight at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg. The Rays, who finished the regular season with 98 wins, will face the Guardians, who secured 85 wins.

Tampa Bay will start Drew Rasmussen, a Cy Young candidate, who had a strong regular season with a 2.67 ERA and excelled in the ALDS against the Yankees. Cleveland will counter with Foster Griffin, a right-hander who has shown promise after a stint in Japan and performed well in his ALDS appearance.

Both teams made minor adjustments to their rosters. The Rays replaced Garrett Cleavinger with Brody Hopkins in the bullpen, while the Guardians substituted utility player Daniel Schneemann for right-hander Slade Cecconi, aiming to bolster their pitching depth for the best-of-seven series.
