Rays Defeat Guardians 3-1 to Equal Series

Freddy Peralta delivered a strong performance for the Tampa Bay Rays, pitching six scoreless innings in their 3-1 victory against the Cleveland Guardians, which leveled the American League Championship Series on Tuesday.

Peralta, who joined the Rays mid-season from the New York Mets, struck out four batters in his first two innings, applying early pressure on the Guardians. The Rays took advantage of a significant error by Cleveland when Ben Williamson's grounder went through the legs of Jose Ramirez, allowing Victor Mesa Jr. to score. Liam Hicks followed with a two-run single on the next pitch.
