Real Madrid Set to Face RB Leipzig Ahead of Clásico Showdown

Real Madrid will host RB Leipzig on Wednesday night at the Santiago Bernabéu, aiming for a victory to boost morale ahead of their Clásico match against Barcelona. The game is scheduled to kick off at 8pm BST (9pm local time).

Madrid enters the match with momentum, having recently defeated Sevilla 4-1, with Kylian Mbappé scoring twice. They have won both of their Champions League matches so far and are looking for a third consecutive win in the tournament. In contrast, Leipzig arrives after a heavy 6-1 loss to Bayern Munich, although they had previously secured two significant league victories.

Vinícius Júnior will be available for Madrid, as his suspension only applies to La Liga. However, Rodrygo, Ferland Mendy, and Raúl Asencio will miss the match due to injuries. Leipzig will be without Christoph Baumgartner, Assan Ouédraogo, and Leopold Zingerle, who is suspended. This match marks the fifth encounter between the two teams in the Champions League.
