Real Madrid Signs Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig for £120m

Real Madrid has secured the signing of Yan Diomande, an Ivory Coast international winger, from RB Leipzig for a fee that could reach £120 million (140 million euros).

The 19-year-old has committed to a seven-year contract with the club, surpassing the previous record fee of £115 million paid for Jude Bellingham in June 2023. Diomande was previously pursued by Paris St-Germain, who withdrew after a £102.5 million bid was rejected, and Liverpool had also shown interest with an initial offer of £69 million.

Diomande, who was named the Bundesliga's Young Player of the Season for 2025-26, scored 12 goals and provided eight assists in the league. He also played in all four of Ivory Coast's World Cup matches, where the team was eliminated in the quarter-finals. His versatility and attacking skills make him a valuable addition to Real Madrid's lineup, as the club aims to enhance its performance on the right wing.
