Record-Breaking F1 Helmet Auction Raises £151,000 for Charity

A Formula 1 helmet, designed in collaboration with Disney and signed by 20 drivers from the 2026 grid, has achieved a remarkable auction result, raising £151,000 for Make-A-Wish International.

The helmet, named "Fuel the Magic," was auctioned through the F1 Authentics platform, operated by Memento Exclusives. This sale marks the highest recorded price for an unworn replica F1 helmet at auction, surpassing the previous record of £112,000 set by Max Verstappen's race-worn overalls.

The funds raised will support Make-A-Wish International in fulfilling life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. The helmet features a sleek black design with red and yellow accents and Mickey Mouse artwork, created by Bret Iwan and Bobby Kim from Disney. A second identical helmet will be displayed at the D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim, California, from August 14-16.
