Red Bull Appoints Tom McCullough as New Head of Race Engineering
Red Bull Racing is reportedly preparing to appoint Tom McCullough as its new head of race engineering, following his tenure at Aston Martin.
McCullough is expected to leave Aston Martin at the end of 2026 after over ten years with the team. His departure comes after a management restructure in early 2025, which saw him reassigned from the core Formula 1 program.
Currently, Gianpiero Lambiase holds the position, which involves overseeing operational matters during races and coordinating engineers. Lambiase has signed with McLaren and may have aspirations to become team principal there. McCullough's hiring is part of a broader management shift at Red Bull, which includes the recent recruitment of Gwen Lagrue to lead the junior program.
