Red Bull Racing's team principal, Laurent Mekies, has clarified that the team is not in serious discussions regarding supplying power units to Aston Martin or any other Formula 1 competitors.
Aston Martin has faced challenges with its power unit performance this season, leading to speculation about potential partnerships, including with Red Bull and Ford. Despite interest from other teams due to Red Bull's successful powertrain, Mekies emphasized that their engine is not available for sale.
Mekies acknowledged the attention their engine has received but stated that Red Bull is focused on improving its performance and integration with the car. He noted that there are still many areas for enhancement and that the team is committed to developing its power unit further. Meanwhile, Aston Martin's Mike Krack reaffirmed their long-term partnership with Honda, highlighting their commitment to the manufacturer.
