Red Bull Evaluates Isack Hadjar's Fitness Ahead of Azerbaijan Grand Prix
Red Bull Racing is monitoring Isack Hadjar's recovery from a wrist injury as they prepare for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Hadjar has been sidelined for three races, with Liam Lawson stepping in as his replacement during this period.
Despite traveling with the team to Madrid, Hadjar was still in a brace and not deemed fit to race. Team principal Laurent Mekies emphasized the importance of Hadjar returning to full fitness before competing, stating that there was no need to rush his recovery.
Hadjar has an additional two weeks to recover before the Baku race, but Mekies did not confirm that he would be ready to drive. The team plans to evaluate his condition through simulator sessions, which will be crucial in determining his readiness, especially given the challenging nature of the upcoming races in Azerbaijan, Malaysia, and Singapore.
