Red Bull Faces Balance Issues Ahead of Italian Grand Prix
Red Bull Racing is encountering significant challenges with car balance as it approaches the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. Technical director Pierre Wache noted that the team is facing issues similar to those experienced at Zandvoort, particularly with energy management and rear downforce.
During Friday's practice sessions, both Red Bull drivers struggled, with Max Verstappen reporting multiple complaints after taking over the car from Ayumu Iwasa. Issues included braking difficulties and excessive bouncing following set-up adjustments. Wache emphasized the need for the team to address these balance concerns promptly.
Wache mentioned that Verstappen's absence from the first practice session limited the team's data collection, complicating their ability to make necessary adjustments. Despite the challenges, he expressed determination to improve the car's performance, particularly in terms of balance, as the team prepares for the upcoming sessions.
