Red Bull Looks to FIA for F1 Development Opportunities

Red Bull is anticipating the FIA's announcement regarding the second Additional Development and Upgrade Opportunities (ADUO) period in Formula 1, which concluded after the Hungarian Grand Prix. The team previously requested a review of the first ADUO results, but the outcome remains unchanged, leaving them without development opportunities.

During the Monaco race weekend, Red Bull-Ford Powertrains was unexpectedly ranked first among manufacturers, despite Mercedes and Ferrari securing development tokens. The FIA had prepared to publicly announce the results, but Red Bull's dissatisfaction with the findings led to a delay. Team principal Laurent Mekies expressed concerns about the accuracy of the initial assessment.

As the second ADUO period results are expected soon, Red Bull hopes to receive a development token, which requires their internal combustion engine to be assessed as less than the best on the grid by more than 2%. If they remain at the top, they may miss out on further upgrades this season.
