Red Sox Address Rumors Following Marcelo Mayer Trade

He dismissed rumors suggesting that the team felt compelled to separate the two friends due to alleged antics. Breslow also mentioned that Mayer is still expected to have a successful Major League career despite the trade.

Previously, Mayer, Anthony, and Kristian Campbell were regarded as the top trio of prospects for the Red Sox. Currently, Anthony is sidelined with a finger injury, Mayer has joined the Giants, and Campbell has returned to Triple-A Worcester after a stint in the majors.
