Red Sox Complete Trade for Adley Rutschman by Sending Harold Rivas to Orioles

The Boston Red Sox have finalized their trade for three-time All-Star catcher Adley Rutschman by sending minor league outfielder Harold Rivas to the Baltimore Orioles. This announcement came on Wednesday, marking the completion of a deal that also included fellow catcher Jake Rogers and cash considerations in exchange for catcher Carlos Narvaez and pitching prospects Anthony Eyanson and Kyson Witherspoon, along with outfield prospect Enddy Azocar.

Rivas, who was initially rumored to be part of the trade package, was confirmed as the player to be named later after Rutschman was activated from the injured list. The 18-year-old Venezuelan was ranked as Boston's No. 10 prospect and had a notable performance in the Florida Complex League, where he batted .241 with six home runs and 23 stolen bases over 46 games.

Defensively, Rivas primarily played center field, making 43 starts and demonstrating strong speed and athleticism. He has now joined the Orioles' farm system and is expected to be assigned to their FCL affiliate, with a potential move to Low-A Delmarva for his full-season debut in the near future.
