Reese Alston, son of Rafer Alston, commits to LSU basketball
Reese Alston, the son of former NBA player Rafer Alston, has announced his commitment to the LSU Tigers basketball team. Known as 'Lil Skip,' Alston is a highly regarded recruit from Houston, Texas, and is ranked as the No. 3 point guard in the nation for the class of 2027 according to the 247Sports Composite.
Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 175 pounds, Alston is recognized for his athleticism and confidence on the court. He has demonstrated a strong ability to drive to the basket and shoot from long range. His offensive skills include a quick release and a versatile scoring ability, making him a threat at multiple levels.
Alston's commitment to LSU marks a significant addition to Coach Will Wade's 2027 recruiting class, which also includes four-star players King Gibson and Ahmad Hudson. Prior to his decision, Alston visited other programs, including Tennessee and Kentucky.
