
Results from the USA Triathlon Gravel National Championships
The Gravel Worlds Triathlon took place in Lincoln, Nebraska, featuring the USA Triathlon Gravel National Championships over the weekend. The event included triathlon and duathlon races, which served as qualifiers for the upcoming World Triathlon Multisport Championships in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The races were held at Branched Oak Lake, approximately 30 minutes from Lincoln. Participants had the option to compete in a full triple event, which included a 3 km swim, a 150-mile gravel race, and a 50 km run, or a half triple with a 1.5 km swim, a 75-mile gravel race, and a half marathon run.
John Matson and Lindsay Long emerged as the overall winners of the International Distance Triathlon, finishing in 2:14:03 and 2:39:16, respectively. In the Sprint Triathlon, Caleb Wales and Allison Hofstra took the top spots with times of 1:22:13 and 1:22:49, with Hofstra also finishing second overall in the entire race. Steven Worth and Courtney Smith led the men’s and women’s categories in the Sprint Duathlon, finishing in 2:08:43 and 4:47:37, respectively.
