Rey Fénix Retains AAA Cruiserweight Title After DQ on WWE SmackDown
Rey Fénix successfully defended his AAA Cruiserweight title against Ricky Saints during a match on WWE SmackDown, which ended in a disqualification.
The match featured various exchanges, including Saints applying a side headlock and Fénix executing a headscissors takedown. Fénix performed several moves, including an uppercut and a crossbody from the top rope. After a break, Saints countered a powerbomb attempt and landed a Death Valley Driver, but Fénix responded with a hurricanrana.
The match concluded when Saints shoved the referee into the ropes and executed a Rochambeau. The referee, Charles Robinson, did not count the pinfall and called for the bell, resulting in Fénix retaining his title by disqualification. This was Fénix's second successful title defense against Saints, having previously defeated him last month.
