Rey Mysterio, the General Manager of AAA and a renowned lucha libre figure, expressed his belief that WWE's acquisition of AAA is aligning with Konnan's vision for the promotion. This acquisition was announced during WrestleMania 41 weekend, prompting curiosity among lucha libre fans about the future of AAA.
Since the acquisition, AAA has seen significant developments, including several Worlds Collide events, talent appearances on WWE NXT and the main roster, and a notable mask vs. mask match at Noche de los Grandes. Additionally, it was revealed at San Diego Comic Con that Mattel will produce action figures of AAA stars.
Mysterio reflected on the evolution of AAA since he began wrestling there in 1992, noting the positive trajectory of the promotion. He emphasized the importance of showcasing lucha libre globally, a vision that Konnan had for the sport.
