Rhys McClenaghan Misses Pommel Horse Final at World Championships

Rhys McClenaghan, the Olympic champion, was unable to qualify for the pommel horse final at the World Gymnastics Championships held in Rotterdam.

He scored 14.400 in the qualifying round, which placed him 10th overall. This outcome marks a challenging return for the 27-year-old athlete, who had missed all of 2025 due to shoulder surgery.

Previously, McClenaghan secured sixth place at the Commonwealth Games in July, his first major competition post-injury, and later finished seventh at the European Championships in Zagreb in August.
