
Richard Childress Racing Reveals New Driver Lineup for 2027 NASCAR Season
Richard Childress Racing has announced that Carson Brown and Chandler Smith will be the new full-time drivers for its NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series program starting in 2027.
Brown, who is 18 years old, recently achieved his first career ARCA victory at Phoenix and made his NASCAR O'Reilly debut with a 15th place finish at Iowa. Smith, 24, has signed a multi-year contract with RCR after competing full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where he has nine career wins and is currently ranked third in the 2026 championship chase.
Brown expressed gratitude for the opportunity to drive for RCR and emphasized his commitment to hard work and improvement. Richard Childress praised Brown's performance and character, while Smith acknowledged the support he has received throughout his career and expressed excitement about joining RCR, which has a history of nurturing young talent.
