Richard Hughes has resigned from his position as sporting director at Liverpool FC, concluding a two-year tenure that included winning the Premier League title.

At 47 years old, Hughes is expected to take on a lucrative role with Al-Hilal, the Saudi Pro League champions, where he will work alongside former Bournemouth technical director Simon Francis.
