Richmond Confirms Contract Decisions for Players Ahead of 2027 Season

Richmond has announced that players Oliver Hayes-Brown and Steely Green will not be offered contracts for the upcoming 2027 season.

Steely Green, who was selected with Pick 55 in the 2022 draft, played 20 senior games this year, bringing his total to 45 as a small forward. Oliver Hayes-Brown, a Category B Rookie signed after the 2023 season, participated in seven AFL games over three seasons, primarily developing his skills in the VFL.

The decision was described as challenging, with a club representative acknowledging the hard work both players put in during their time with the team. Meanwhile, the futures of Hugo Ralphsmith, Judson Clarke, and Tom Burton remain uncertain. Richmond has also parted ways with Tyler Sonsie, James Trezise, Samson Ryan, Kaleb Smith, and Liam Fawcett, while welcoming Nathan O'Driscoll and Kieren Briggs, and is expected to make significant draft selections next month.
