Richmond Extends Contract for Tom Burton Through 2027

Richmond has confirmed the re-signing of Tom Burton, extending his contract for another year, which will keep him at Punt Road until 2027.

This decision follows similar contract extensions for teammates Hugo Ralphsmith and Maurice Rioli Jr, who also agreed to one-year deals. Burton, who joined Richmond as an SSP signing after a pre-season trial, made his AFL debut in April and participated in five games during the season.

Burton has transitioned from a midfielder/defender to a small forward, showcasing his ability to score and assist teammates. Additionally, Richmond has re-signed Judson Clarke, who has faced injury challenges but played the last four games of the VFL season, indicating a positive recovery. Richmond's football boss expressed optimism for both players' contributions in the upcoming season.
