Richmond Opts Not to Nominate Father-Son Duo for AFL Draft
Richmond has announced that it will not nominate father-son prospects Jack Leys and Archie Daffy for the national draft scheduled for November.
Both players have been associated with the Tigers for several years. This decision permits them to enter the draft as open pool prospects, which may lead to selection by other teams. Richmond has invited Leys and Daffy to join its VFL side next season if they remain unselected during the draft.
Jack Leys, a 182cm winger from South Australia, has showcased his athleticism while playing for Woodville-West Torrens in the AAMI Talent League. He recently won the two-kilometre time trial at the South Australian state draft combine. Archie Daffy, a 175cm small forward, has improved his performances with the Geelong Falcons in the Talent League. He is the son of former Tiger Nick Daffy, who had a notable career with Richmond.
